In order to ensure women’s safety and quick assistance to them in case of any emergency situation, Bhopal Police has come up with a mobile app which can be of used when a woman finds herself in danger. The mobile app named ‘Wsafety’ was launched by Deputy Inspector General of Bhopal, Santosh Kumar which can be downloaded for free from the Playstore by android users.A woman in trouble can click the SOS danger button after which a message will be relayed to her acquaintances, whose numbers she has saved, and will then also be received at the nearest police station. Police will then be able to trace the exact location of the woman to reach out to her.

A woman has to save two contact numbers in the mobile as her guardian and the message will be relayed to them.A special cell has been formed in the police control room which will be monitored by Additional Superintendent of Police (Zone-4) Sameer Yadav with his team. The Bhopal Police is ensuring all out efforts to provide safety to women and the recent cases, which also made national headlines, have prompted the cops to take action as per need of the time.
