Rly Minister Piyush Goyal emphasises on implementation of technologies

Union Railway and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal took a review meeting of officials of South East Central Railway (SECR) and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) during his one day tour to State Capital on Monday. He emphasized over development of important Railway stations based on the possibilities of tourism in State. During review meeting Punnulal Mohle Food and Civil Supply Minister, Ramesh Bais Member of Parliament, Sunil Singh Soin General Manager of SECR, Divisional Railway Managers and Divisional Officials were present.

General Manager of SECR gave Power Point Presentation at the beginning of the review meeting. Information on Zonal Income of Railway, passenger movement, freight service, finance, safety, passenger amenity, cleanliness and under construction projects of Railways in state were highlighted. Railway Minister Goyal, appreciated the efforts of SECR officials for being adjudged as Best zone by Quality Council of India (QCI). He appreciated the Railway officials for contributing 16 per cent in Indian Railway’s economy. He stressed over beautification of Railway stations on the basis of passenger footfall. Also directed the Railway officials to find possibilities of tourism in State and develop the concerned railway station as per need of tourists.

Regarding renovation and safety he assured that there will be no deficit of funds and will be completed on priority. Railway Minister directed the officials to develop rail under bridge and Rail over bridge at all manned railway level crossings at the earliest. In case of any complication in regarding land procurement in Rail Corridor project and National Green Tribunal project it will be resolved at the earliest. He stressed over better utilization of available techniques with railway and adoption of new technique for better execution of work.

Ramesh Bais has also appreciated the railway officials for better maintenance and cleanliness of Railway stations.Later, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal met Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh at his official residence and reviewed the works carried out in railway projects and rail corridor. General Manager of SECR and Divisional Officials were also present during meeting.
