BMS, BPMS to stage gherao of Parliament

“Bhartiya Janata Party-led NDA Government has failed in fulfilling its commitments for welfare of workers and fulfilling their long-pending demands. Instead of fulfilling its commitments, the Government is trying to deprive the workers of Ordnance Factories of the existing financial benefits. There is a long difference between speech and action of the Government. In order to flay the anti-worker initiatives of the Government, more than five lakh workers of organised and unorganised sector will stage gherao of the Parliament and stage a grand demonstration at Ramleela Maidan, New Delhi on November 17,” informed Narendra Tiwari, National President of Bhartiya Pratiraksha Mazdoor Sangh while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday.

Narendra Tiwari added that the massive demonstration will be staged under the joint banner of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) and Bhartiya Pratiraksha Mazdoor Sangh (BPMS). He informed that BJP and BPMS are working on the same ideology, but any act of the Government against labourers will never be tolerated and BPMS will always fight for their rights.

Through the demonstration, BPMS and BMS will raise demands for cancelling merger policy for closing Army Base Workshop, EME, Central Ordnance depot, Military Farm, MES, stopping FDI and outsourcing of core or non-core group products of Ordnance Factories and other public sector establishments, providing same wages to contract and casual labourers, providing minimum wage of Rs 24,000 with multiplication factor of 3.42, providing pension guarantee in New Pension Scheme, providing a rebate and cent percent compensatory appointments in Ordnance Factories, reinstating Sunday extra overtime in Ordnance Factories and other long pending demands of trade unions.

Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, Vibhag Pracharak, Mahesh Pathak informed that more than five lakh workers representing around 6,000 unions of organised and unorganised sectors will press their demands before the Central Government. Around 10,000 employees from Katni, Itarsi, Bhopal, Mhow, Ordnance Factory Khamaria, Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, Gun Carriage Factory, Grey Iron Foundry, 506 Army Base Workshop, EME, Military Engineering Service, Central Ordnance Depot, Military Farm and unorganised sector units will strongly press their demands during the historic demonstration in New Delhi. Bhartiya Pratiraksha Mazdoor Sangh’s Rampravesh Singh, Rajendra Singh, Kajal Vishwas and other leaders have extended appeal towards office-bearers, members and employees of all the units to ensure their participation in the massive demonstration to prove their strength before the Government.
