‘Be creative to sustain in era of cut-throat competition’

DELIVERING a motivational lecture during a workshop organised by the Lady Entrepreneur’s Wing (LEW) of Vidarbha Industries Association here on Thursday, Arunkumar Khobragade, Chairman of VIA Agro and Food Processing Forum and Managing Director of Ras Frozen Foods, said that the world is changing at an alarming pace and so are the businesses.
He said that the entrepreneurs will have to think distinctly different to sustain in the era of cut-throat competition.

“Today even a small businessman or a trader is compelled to compete with well-established ‘global giants’. And in such a scenario one cannot afford to the emulate others. What goes well with your neighbour might not prove beneficial to you. So be creative and come out with unique idea to taste success,” he said.

Khobragade further said that entrepreneurs should take into consideration various factors while planning strategies. “We all are witnessing how technology is changing every share of our life and businesses are no exception. Automation is fast replacing manual processes. On the other hand society is also undergoing transformation subsequently opening up new vistas for the businesses,” he said.

Giving reference of linking of Aadhar card to bank accounts and other things, Khobragade said, most of the activities of people would be closely monitored by the State which will ultimately lead to encroachment on one’s ‘independence’.
He also observed that gaming and recreational industry would emerge as one of the big sectors.
Khobragade is one of the renowned motivational speakers who has more than 24 years of professional experience across sectors.

He is Change Management Consultant and currently working with Central and State Governments to influence policy making and bring about changes in the area of skill development, entrepreneurship development and social empowerment.

In the session of the workshop, Dr Simta Dabholkar Singh, Faculty (OB and HRM) and Dr Abhishek Singh, Faculty (Information Management) Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur spoke on “Women Entrepreneur’ Situation, Support and Success.”

On the occasion, Dabholkar said that women have huge potential to run businesses and create wonders. “Men and women are equal but different. Women posses strong inner strength but in many cases, they are unaware of it and rely on support of family members,” she said.
Dr Abhishek Singh narrated the success story of Chinese billionaire entrepreneur Jack Ma. “In the initial stages of life, Jack failed on many occasions, but he did not quit. He continued his struggle and finally become successful,” he said.

At the out set, Shachi Mallick, Chairperson of VIA- LEW gave introductory remark and welcomed the speaker. Rashmi Kulkarni, Joint Secretary, conducted the proceedings of the event while Reeta Lanjewar, Secretary of VIA-LEW proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was a huge success. Large number of women entrepreneurs, students, businessmen, trade representatives, industrialists, professionals, VIA members and others attended the workshop.
