Dushyant Sahu, son of former Senior Manager of BSP falls prey to armed ruffians who relieved him of his car on gunpoint. The victim was kidnapped but later was thrown out of car after being gagged later and with hands tied behind in Nagpura

IN a loot at gunpoint, three unidentified armed ruffians, riding two different motorbikes, relieved a man of his car in Sector-10, Bhilai on late Tuesday evening. The victim was kidnapped at gunpoint but he was thrown out of car after being gagged later and with hands tied behind in Nagpura, Durg after about an hour.


On complaint, the police erected barriers and launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprits behind the loot but no breakthrough was reported till the last report came in. The police have seized a motorbike abandoned by the culprits on the spot.


Police sources informed that at about 9.45 pm on Tuesday, Dushyant Sahu (32), son of Yuvraj Singh Sahu, a resident of Ispat Nagar, Risali, Bhilai was on way home in his car (Maruti Ertiga/CG07/AW/1062/2015 model) when three unidentified ruffians, riding two different motorbikes, intercepted his SUV near Ruabandha Market in Bhilai and two of the ruffians held him on gunpoint and kidnapped him in his own car. Police said that as per the victim Dushyant Sahu, he was taken in his car to Nagpura, Durg via Pulgaon Chowk wherein he was thrown out of the car on being gagged with his handkerchief and hands tied behind with ‘gamchha’ near Mahmara intersection in the village.


Victim Dushyant Sahu was not injured by the culprits and when thrown out of car he also had his mobile phone. He managed to untie hands and brought the matter immediately to the notice of police, contacting through his mobile phone.


As per information, Dushyant Sahu, the son of former Senior Manager of BSP, sells fancy items and toys for earning livelihood. He was putting up stalls in the SUV on daily basis near Berojgar Chowk in Bhilai for last five months.


On Tuesday evening, while he was on his way home in his car after winding up the stall, Dushyant Sahu stopped at a bakery in Sector-10, Bhilai to buy some patties and proceeded towards home in the car when he fell prey to unidentified armed ruffians near Ruabandha Market in Bhilai.


D R Porte, ASP (Crime) asserted that the intensive search operation to track down the culprits behind loot was already launched and they would soon be behind bars. He also informed that as per the investigation so far in the crime, the culprits fled towards Raipur via Kumhari and that the police were also releasing the photographs of two of the culprits, retrieved from CCTV, and they were also identified by the victim.
