Cops rescue minor girl from kidnapper

Acting swiftly Pandri police on Wednesday rescued a minor girl who was kidnapped and also arrested a 26-year old youth who committed the offence. The accused youth prior to committing this offence had stolen a motorcycle. Purani Basti Police has registered a case against him.

The accused youth was identified as Rahul Nirmalkar, resident of Dubey Colony that falls near Balaji Hospital. The police registered a case against the accused under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code, which reads punishment for kidnapping. Later, in course of investigation, police came to know that the motorcycle used by the accused was also stolen by him.

At 11.15 am today, the mother of the victim girl lodged report with the police that at 10.45 am today, an unidentified person riding on a motorcycle CG 04-DR/1151 made her minor 9-year old girl child sit on the motorcycle and took her forcibly.
Within two hours of the incident, the police caught the accused at Daldal Seoni locality in Pandri and rescued the girl child.

Pandri Station House Officer Kirit Sinha with other police staff caught the accused. Sinha told this newspaper that the accused on being caught was found to be in an inebriated state. In course of investigation, it was known that the motorcycle he was riding was also stolen by him.

According to Purani Basti police, the accused stole the motorcycle from Dhobi Gali, Kankalipara locality. The complainant against him in this case is one Anil Kumar Dewangan. Police has registered a case against him under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code, which reads punishment for theft.
