Mankunwar Bai College celebrates MP’s Foundation Day

FOUNDATION Day of Madhya Pradesh was celebrated enthusiastically at Government Mankunwar Bai Art and Commerce Autonomous College for Women on Wednesday. Additional Superintendent of Police, Crime and Traffic Sandeep Mishra was present as chief guest, while College Principal Dr Geeta Shrivastava presided over the programme. The programme was organised under effective guidance of Programme Incharge Dr Sulekha Mishra.


Programme Incharge Dr Sulekha Mishra while informing about the three-day programme said that various activities including pledge for progress and prosperity of Madhya Pradesh, health awareness workshop, sports, yoga and others will be organised in the campus. The programme was inaugurated with national anthem and Madhya Pradesh anthem. Incharge Dr Mishra read out the message of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.


Following which, Principal Dr Shrivastava administered oath to teachers, employees and students. Dr Shrivastava further honoured Additional SP Mishra for his personal achievements and for outstanding departmental services.


Newly elected office-bearers of Students’ Union were also felicitated by the principal. Extending best wishes, ASP, Crime and Traffic, Sandeep Mishra attracted everyone’s attention towards various rights of women security and informed about various helpline numbers. The ASP said that if students, women and the society is aware about their rights and women-oriented Government schemes, the Police Department has pledged to provide them safety. He also gave details of many helpline numbers to display on college’s notice board.


Principal Dr Geeta Shrivastava gave significant accounts about history of Madhya Pradesh and wished that members of student’s union and professors will work together for the welfare of students. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Sulekha Mishra. Those who contributed in successful programme were senior professor Dr Sudha Mehta, Dr J K Gujral, Students’ Union President Ritu Shukla, Jyoti Pandey, Divya Baghel, Priyanshi and others.
