HPCL launches charging station for electric vehicles in city

Electric vehicle charging station developed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Navratna PSU oil marketing company was inaugurated by Mayor Nanda Jichkar, MLA Krishna Khopde in the presence of V G Borgaonkar, Deputy Chief Controller of Explosive, PESO at Lakadganj, Nagpur.


The entire charging station for the electrical vehicles has been set up in house by its expert engineers, unlike other such companies who are doing with a tie up fleet aggregators. The Navratna company also has plans to develop more such electrical vehicle charging stations in the immediate future.
This facility will help the electrical vehicle owners to charge their vehicles and make use of the facilities at the company owned outlet (petrol pump).


This electrical charging station is going to be commissioned on Tuesday. Kanuru Srinivas, Chief General Manager of HPCL-WZ, Mumbai , Zakir Hussain Ayubi, General Manager, HQO and Sivarao, General Manager – RU of HPCL Mumbai, HPCL Team of Nagpur RO, dealers and vendors were present.
