Haldiram avails plug in facility for reefer movement at ICD, Nagpur

Haldiram Foods International Private Limited, the leading sweet and snacks manufacturer and a major exporter based in Nagpur on Tuesday availed the facility of ‘plug in’ for reefer containers from Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), Inland Container Depot (ICD) Nagpur‘Plug in’ facility is a system that provides power supply to the containers even when it is placed in the yard so as to maintain its temperature. It is widely used for movement of perishable items.


The facility will promote exports of Haldiram Foods international Private Limited to various countries like United States of America, Canada, Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, South Africa and Malaysia among others. CONCOR is also pleased to informed its trade members that with the this added facility, it can now move edible items of Vidarbha region through reefer containers. In a rake / train consisting 14 to 44 reefer containers in a escorted train from Nagpur to JNPT Port.


The inauguration of the facility was recently held by Anup Kumar Satpathy, Chief General manager, Central Region, Sushil Agrawal, Director Haldiram Foods International Private limited, and R Y Kanaujia, Assistant Commissioner, Customs ICD Nagpur, in presence of Kush Kishor Mishra, Senior DCM, Central Railway Nagpur, Sumit Badarkhe, DOM, Central Railways and others.


The inaugural function was presided by Rajib Bhowal, Chief Manager ICD Nagpur. Arvind Kumar, Manager - CONCOR and Sudhir Agrawal of Reliable Logistics was also present on
the occasion.
