Staff Reporter,

Accusing Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) of indulging in politics of appeasement to gain mileage, Union Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Uma Bharti lambasted both the parties for playing key role in firing on Kar Sevaks in Ayodhya during Babri demolition. Both are provoking Muslim community on issue of Ram Mandir construction to gain political mileage, Bharti said. Construction of Ram Mandir will be held soon with mutual consent of both the communities. Uma Bharti expressed her views while talking to the media during her visit to the city before attending public dedication ceremony of sports ground and community hall in Barela on Friday.

Commenting on the statement of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on firing on Kar sevaks, Uma Bharti alleged that the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav had failed in maintaining law and order arrangements during Babri demolition which led to firing on Kar Sevaks. Congress and Samajwadi Party have always played politics of riots to maintain communal differences in the country for their political gains. Senior leaders of Congress and Samajwadi Party have allegedly provoked Muslim community people for riots and are still trying to take advantage of Ram Mandir construction issue to create disparity in two communities in the country.

Replying to a query, former Chief Minister said that collaborative efforts are being made to pave way for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Land dispute case is still under consideration with the apex court which is likely to be solved soon. She will support any kind of mediation to solve dispute between the two communities. Earlier, Uma Bharti visited residence of Member of Parliament from Damoh Prahlad Patel and attended a programme of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi Seva Sansthan in Barela.
