JNAU VC inks agreement with Chiba varsity, Japan

A MAJOR development at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU) after Dr P K Bisen took over as Vice-Chancellor of the university, one international agreement between JNAU and Chiba University, Japan, has been signed on Friday. As per the agreement, the university will work on education, research and extension services. 

The agreement was signed by Director Extension Services Dr Dhirendra Khare and Scientist of Chiba University, Japan, Dr K Suji in presence of VC Dr Bisen. As per agreement, students, teachers and scientists from JNAU can go to Chiba University for higher studies and training. Similarly, students, teachers and scientists from Chiba University will get assistance from JNAU. Agreement between JNAU and Chiba University has been permitted by ICAR New Delhi and Kisan Kalyan and Krishi Vibhag MP Government.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bisen said the agreement between two universities will prove a milestone in the field of research in agriculture. The occasion was also attended by Dr P K Mishra, Dean Agriculture, Dr R K Nema, Dean Agriculture Engineering, Dr V K Pyasi DSW, Dr S B Nahatkar Deputy Director Research, Dr L P Rajput HOD Food Science and others.
