Anand Vihar Schools’ sports meet starts

Anand Vihar School witnessed the opening of sport meet on Saturday thereby highlighting importance of games and sports as it is part and parcel of everybody’s life. Chief guest of the function was Hitesh Choudhary, Additional Superintendent of Police of South Zone, Bhopal.


He declared the sports meet open by releasing the balloon representing different houses. He was given guard of honour by the school Band. March Past was presented by four houses namely Sanchi, Takshila, Nalanda and Ajanta. School Chairperson Sunanda Thakar, administered the Oath-taking ceremony which was taken by National, State-level players and council members to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship. Students promised to play the fair game in best of their spirits.


School Principal Shailesh Zope, introduced the Chief Guest. Archana Bagchi, President Vanita Samaj was the guest of honour. She handed over the torch to the national players which symbolises the fire in all to be burning and desire to achieve more and the best. The programme continued with the sizzling performance. The live demonstration was presented by skating and gymnastic team students, who were enthralled by the audience. The kids of classes VI to VIII showcased proper coordination, thrill and excitement, flexibility and balance which prepare them for their bright future.


Girls of class VII and VIII presented aerobics highlighting the value of exercise and proving the saying “In healthy body resides a healthy mind.”
School had Volley Ball match for Senior Girls and 100 meters races for all group. Chief Guest had all the praises for the energy and discipline of students. He motivated students to think out of the box, to identify the weakest link and to work on it to improve not to avoid the hurdles but to try our best to cross it. The programme ended on a good note and praises from Vanita Samaj members and blessings for the upcoming events till December 1, final day of sports meet.
