Chairman Swai inspects Anganwadi centres

State Food Commission, Chairman Rajkishore Swai inspected the Anganwadi centres, Mid-day-meal arrangements in schools, and fair price shops being operated in rural areas of the districts, on Saturday. Commission member, Gorelal Aahirwar, accompanied him.
Tour of SFC, Chairman, Swai commenced from Suhagi Aganbadi centres number 160 and 159. During surprise inspection Swai expressed dissatisfaction over working and irregularities following absence of Aganbadi Karyakarta and Assistant. He expressed ire on shortage of seating space for children in the centre and called details of nutrition feed menu for kids coming to Aganbadi Centre. At Shankar Nagar, Aganbadi, Swai expressed dissatisfaction on low attendance of students.

Swai during inspection directed the officials and employees to ensure proper facilities at Aganbadi centre in order to correct the ongoing shortcomings on the part of employees.
Thereafter, at Amjhar Aganbadi centre inspection Mr. Swai taken account of information related to low attendance of children and also checked the quality of food served to the children under nutrition supplementation while also gathered updates on vaccination to the children, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers in the area. Inspecting the Nutricorner developed in Aganbadies, he finds insufficient stock of nutritious food. He asked program Office Manish Sharma to ensure available of adequate stock at Nurticorner. He asked to install three smiley informing about nutritional health of children. He appreciated the work of Aganbadi Worker, Mithilesh Barkade.

He also inspected the Kitchen Shed of Amjhar. He asked teachers to take prior taste of food before serving to children. He also inspected fair price shop at Amjhar and also interacted with the customers and locals. He checked the quality of material being sold in this shop.

At Padaria, State Food Commission, Chairperson, Swai inspected the quality of food being servied in Mid Day Meal. He also taken look at kitchen shed and gathered information of children strength in school. He also expressed dissatisfaction over working condition of women in kitchen shed and asked officials to be sensitive for people cooking food for children.

In this regard SDM and Project Manager was given instructions. He also inspected fair price shops at Padaira and checked the quality of material being sold to the rural. He directed to paint the list of BPL cardholders in front of the shop.

In Middle School Tilswani, Swami inspected the mid day meal preparations and distribution arrangements. He also checked the quality of food. Keeping in view important of Protein he directed to include pulses in the meals. He also interacted with the women cooking food in the school and given necessary directions.

In this tour of State Food Commission, Raj Kishore Swai officials of the Women and Child Welfare and other related departments were present.
