Sagar Mayor, Municipal Commr ensure cleaning of drains under drive

UNDER Cleanliness Survey, different drainages and nullahs were cleaned under supervision of Health Officer Rajesh Singh Rajput and instructions of Mayor Abhay Dare and Municipal Commissioner Anurag Verma. Simultaneously, the Nodal Officer deployed for work of cleanliness survey visited different streets of the city and created public awareness to keep wet and dry garbage separate and to inform people to download cleanliness app.


A massive cleanliness drive was organised jointly at Vallabhnagar, Nariyavali Naka, Shastri ward, GAD Colony situated at Civil Line, Sant Kawarram ward, areas surrounding Nepal palace, Sant Ravidas ward, Indranagar Peetamber Mandir, Krishnaganj ward, Shehnai Garden Vridavan ward, tehsil office campus, Ghasidas colony, New Colony situated at Madhukarshah ward, Gaur Pratima situated at Teen Batti and Subhash Nagar ward. During the drive, all the drainages and nullah fell under these areas were clean and pesticides were sprayed all over to check the spread of diseases.


Nodal officers conducted public awareness drive to appeal them to keep their wet and dry garbage separately. They asked common public to download cleanliness app on their mobiles, which will help them to share their complaints regarding cleanliness in their surrounding by uploading pictures on the app.


The concerned authorities will immediately take action on their complaints. The health office informed that in view of cleanliness survey, roads, drainages are being cleaned in both the morning and evening shifts. The Municipal Corporation is soon going to start cleanliness arrangements in night shift also.


The health officer further appealed the traders and businessmen to keep a dustbin in front of their shops and agencies and not to throw garbage or any other waste materials on the road.


Along with cleanliness survey, the local authorities have initiated a programme ‘Aapke Dwar’ to ensure benefits of different public welfare schemes implemented by the Planning wing of the government to the poor and needy people.


Under the same, all the pensioners have been asked to link their Aadhar card and Samagra ID online to avail benefits of various schemes.
