Drug-peddler nabbed with cocaine worth Rs 1.8 lakh

Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of City police on Sunday arrested a drug-peddler and seized cocaine worth Rs 1.8 lakh from his possession. The accused was transporting the drug to Madhya Pradesh, said police.
The accused is identified as Suleman alias Ghachi Kasam Daytar (35), a resident of near Chota Sayan Hospital, Labour camp, Matunga, Shahu Nagar, Mumbai.

Acting on a tip-off, team of ANC arrested Suleman from Madhya Pradesh Bus terminus situated in Sitabuldi area near Ganesh Tekdi temple when the he was about to board in a bus. A police officer informed that Suleman arrived Nagpur by train on Sunday morning. He was going to Madhya Pradesh to supply cocaine.

The accused was booked under sections 21 (a) (b) of NDPS Act. The arrest was made by Sr PI Rajendra Nikam, API D M Chandan, PSI Swapnil Wagh and staff including Pravin Fandade, Kishor Mahant, Satish Patil, Tulsidas Shukla, Nitin Rangane, Naresh Singane, Rubina Sheikh and others.
