Now, Govt school children will say Jai Hind sir instead of ‘yes sir’

The State’s 1.22 lakh students of Government schools will from now on address their teachers as Jai Hind Sir/Jai Hind Madam instead of Yes Sir/Yes Madam. School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah on Sunday made this announcement on the 69th NCC Day at the Shaurya Smarak. An advisory in this connection will be issued to private schools also. School Education Minister said that the Air wing and Naval wing of NCC will be introduced in Khandwa. Government will make every effort to begin NCC wings in other places also in the state. Shah said that so far more than 11 lakh persons have visited Shaurya Smarak.


Major General A K. Sapra gave information about the achievements of NCC. He told that NCC cadets planted 40 thousand saplings on the banks of Narmada river during the “Namami Devi Narmade” campaign. Sapra told that NCC cadet Amritlal had received bravery award in 1964 at Pachmarhi. Shah awarded NCC officials and cadets for their remarkable services. He gave away awards to Lavanya Kushwaha, Rishabh Singh, Ayush Tiwari, M P Sarathe, Darshana Mishra, Ayush Singh, Archana Kushwaha, Shivani, Rahul Singh, Pramit Vadeka, Yashraj Singh, Chaya Vishwakarma, Yogesh Gupta, Aditya Patel, Vikas Pal, A C Jain, Shravya Mehta, Shubhangi Sharma, Shalini and Revati Prabhakaran. Meanwhile, cadets presented cultural programme.
