Memo over water in Mohgaon reservoir

Falling water level in Mohgaon reservoir has become of issue of serious concern for the local inhabitants from the adjoining area. Reportedly, Jal Upbhokta Sabha (JUS) Mohgaon, taking serious note of the falling water level, has submitted memorandum of demand to Union Minister Uma Bharti during her visit to Pahadikheda. Saurabh Pyasi, President of JUS, who headed the delegation, submitted the memorandum to Union Minister and demanded that the deepening of the reservoir must be initiated at the earliest.

According to information, the fast-receding water level in Mohgaon reservoir has become of issue of serious concern and has caused anguish among local inhabitants. The Mohgaon reservoir falls under Hiran irrigation project and the fast receding water level in the reservoir has made people from the region highly apprehensive.


The delegation supplicated before the Union Minister to instruct the concerned department to start the deepening of the reservoir.


At the time of submission of memorandum, members of JUS present were Saurabh Pyasi, Anil Upadhyay, Santram Shreepal, Harikishan, Govind Patel, Harisingh, Veerendra Patel, Vijay Patel, Moolchandra Patel, Raja Vishwakarma, Raju Rajak and others.
