Danve to review BJP’s poll preparedness in Vid

With two years in hand for the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started preparations to fine tune its organisational set-up to maintain its winning spree in the next elections slated in 2019. Raosaheb Danve, State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is arriving in Nagpur on Wednesday evening at 8 pm from Mumbai. He will review the performance of all the districts of Vidarbha in a special meeting slated on Thursday. The party has called all the district chiefs to attend the special meeting at Nagpur. The party will seek report card from the district chiefs regarding their preparation about next elections. The party has given programme to appoint pagewise chiefs to intensify contact with the voters. The party had also organised assembly segment wise meeting in all the assemblies of Vidarbha region to strengthen its base.

The party is taking no chances and is gearing up its machinery. Already the scrutiny of electoral roll is complete and convention of booth-heads and page heads have been organised at prabhag level. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah are in favour of holding simultaneous elections of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and there are rumours that possibly by the end of 2018, polls may be conducted. Presently, the party has 44 seats in the Vidarbha and it is trying to further expand its tally in the next election.
Dr. Upendra Kothekar, Organizing Secretary will also be present in the meeting. City BJP Chief Sudhakar Kohle, General Secretary Sandip Joshi, Kishor Palandurkar and Bhojraj Dumbe will present the report card of the city. Kohle urged party workers to present at Nagpur Airport to welcome Danve. This was informed by Chandan Goswami in a press release.
