Bhoomipujan performed for Sneh Nagar Link Road

Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare, Sharad Jain and Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole, on Thursday performed bhoomipujan for construction of Sneh Nagar Link road.
Speaking on the occasion, Jain said the Mayor had made high efforts from local to State-level for approval of Link road. Following her efforts the bhoomipujan of the road could become possible. He on the occasion congratulated the Mayor and residents of adjoining colonies.

Expressing her views on the occasion, Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole said the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) would execute development works including road widening and asphaltation from Kachhpura over bridge to Madan Mahal Railway Station with an estimated cost of Rs 2.57 crore. She said the JMC would construct 750-meter long link road. Apart from that it would also construct central verge on entire stretch of the road and fix Central lighting in the divider.

After bhoomipujan, the Mayor directed concerned officials to ensure construction as per the set guidelines. She said the road must be of good quality. Dr Godbole said the Link road would provide ease to residents of as many as 22 colonies of Garha sub urban area. Apart from that residents of Sneh Nagar, Agrawal Colony, Yadav Colony, Adarsha Nagar, Daya Nagar, Rameshwaram Colony, Shatabdipuram, Vijay Nagar and other adjoining areas would also get benefit of the road.

Later, Chairperson of the JMC, Sumitra Balmeek, Mayor-in-Council member, Kamlesh Agrawal and Pt. Arun Sharma also expressed their views on the occasion and hailed the works being done under the leadership of Mayor, Dr Godbole.

Amongst those also present were Naveen Riachharia, Corporator, Sandhya Patel, Mamta Tiwari, Vinod Dubey, L P Dubey, Tejmal Singhai, R S Pandey, Superintendent Engineer, S K Dwivedi, Executive Engineer, Sanjay Pandey, Divisional Engineer, Rajesh Goswami, Sub Engineer, Satyendra Chakraburty and others.
