MP shooters exhibit brilliant performance at Shotgun National C’ship

Madhya Pradesh players from State Shooting Academy won four gold medals and a bronze medal at 27th All India GV Mavlankar Shotgun Shooting Championship. In the tap event in Junior and senior category academy player Gubu Shankar won a gold medal in each category and skeet event junior and senior girls category Parvati Kumre wins one gold medal in each category .In Championship trap event Junior girls category player Muskan Kahar won bronze medal. With putting up an impressive the players stood out with flying colours. 


Notably, the championship was hosted at Patiala, Punjab. It is to be noted that eight players from the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Championship participated in the championship.
Parvati Kumare, player of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy exhibited an outstanding performance at 27th All India GV Mavlankar Shotgun Shooting Championship, bagging a gold medal. Parvati won a gold medal in both the junior and senior categories of Skeet Event Personal Championship in the championship.


Appreciating the spectacular performance of the Academy players, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashodhara Raje Scindia expressed her contentment.


She congratulated the players both boys and girls exhibiting a wonderful performance at the national championship and are bringing laurels to the State. She congratulated the players for the achievement and wished them luck for their future events. She also encouraged them to play well and not get distracted from their focus. She said that in order to excel in sports,one need to show utmost concentration at any cost. This is the need of the hour. Through their grand performance, these players have brought glory to the state and this journey of fame must go on in coming years. Scindia also told the players to give their best at the upcoming national championships.

It has to be noted that it was decided that Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy will be provided with all the international amenities. The shooters of Madhya Pradesh will also get provision of air rifle, air pistol and shotgun, makes the State Academy, one of its kind across the country. Based in international standards the academy comprises on three shooting ranges of 10 meters, 25 meters and 50 meters along with a twin sheet of trap and skeet ranges.


Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Upendra Jain also congratulated players on their achievement asked the players to play well at the championship. He further said that the players must be focused to perform similarly in upcoming championships and for that consistent effort is also required. It is to be noted that the
players are receiving training by Coach Hemraj Rana and Mansher Singh.
