Effective steps being taken to make HC, courts paperless

EFFECTIVE steps have been initiated under direction and guidance of Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Justice Hemant Gupta for computerisation of High Court and subordinate courts. At the Principal Seat Jabalpur and Indore and Gwalior Division Bench of MPHC integration of database, an initiative has been taken. In this regard, on October 5, 2017, onwards and afterwards case numbers will be in series. The initiative will facilitate advocates and litigants and this Central Database will help in more and more effective record keeping and its use. Besides this, facility of online court fees payment is also opened for advocates and litigants. Through which on easy mode payment of court fee can be deposited and will also help in maintaining e-record.


Digital signature on High Court case decisions and orders have already been initiated. Till now, digital signature have been used in over 14,000 cases of interim and final judgements. The process is continuous so that advocates can avail the facility and can take digital copy of orders and can obtain digital certificate with signature orders. In the High Court, Database Mirroring and Database Replication works is also being carried out to keep database secure. At server room high-end technology equipped high capacity servers have been installed for ICMS software enhancing working and speeding up operation time of work. Similarly, internet lease line and MP leased line speed has been increased to 100 mbps from 16 mbps. In division benches at Gwalior and Indore internet speed has been enhanced. In Madhya Pradesh High Court till now out of 25,20,000 files above 9.30 crore pages digitalisation has been done.


All the advocates have been provided login identity. Through which advocates can see their complete cases online and can obtain digital copy. The facility is also available at office of Advocate General. For the facility of lawyers and litigants, extensive reforms are being adopted in High Court. The facility is also available to get certified copy of caveat and decision.


Similarly, meetings of administrative committees have gone paperless. Related user can download online paper book through internet or can see online. This initiative has saved paper in big quantity. In this way, all confidential reports have been digitalised and the process is underway to provide the concerned officials. Besides this, e-auction facility is also available in the High Court. In all the rooms of High Court multifunctional copier machine has been installed in order to get copy or print easily. High Court Principal Bench and Division bench at Indore and Gwalior have adequate number of water purifier and benches installed for advocates and employees of the court.
