Three DRMs from Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions attended the meeting through video-conferencing

 

WEST Central Railway (WCR) has all the reason to smile after being praised by Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain who presided over a review meeting at WCR headquarters on Wednesday. As GPS tracker and other enhancement made in the area of safety by WCR is being projected as role model for 16 other zonal railways across Indian railway network. Reportedly, out of 17 zonal headquarters of Indian Railways, WCR leads in application of GPS system and technological advancement.


According to information, Rajen Gohain dedicated Jabalpur-Nainpur broad gauge train on November 28 recently. On Wednesday, the Minister presided over a review meeting at WCR headquarters. He reviewed all compartments of WCR pertaining to loading, income, cleanliness, safety and others.
The review meeting was live through video-conferencing as three DRMs from Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions attended the meeting.


Top brass of WCR apprised the Minister of various departments functioning under zonal railway in course of review made Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain highly content as he expressed his satisfaction on overall performance of WCR.


He expressed his content on accomplishment of tasks in the area of eradicating unmanned level crossing, GPS tracking for patrol-man, drone camera for project monitoring. As WCR is the first zonal railway among 17 zonal headquarters of Indian Railways to implement enhanced safety measures. He also instructed to expedite ongoing projects taken up by WCR.


The meeting was attended by WCR GM Girish Pilai, ADGM, Head of Department of headquarter and three DRMs from Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions were present through video-conferencing. About visit of Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain, he visited Jabalpur and Nainpur on two-day tour. In Nainpur, he dedicated to public the new track between Nainpur to Ghansaur in post gauge conversion and inaugurated train services between Jabalpur and Nainpur. He said to get alternate path from Jabalpur to Southern India gauge conversion till Balaghat is obligatory. During his visit to Nainpur, he was accompanied by MP Rakesh Singh, MP Mandla Faggan Singh Kulaste and others.
