members of Akhil Bharatiya Kurmi Kshtriya Mahasabha, Madhya Pradesh, demanding construction of temporary bridge on Narmada river at Lamhetaghat and Saraswatighat handed over memorandum to Additional Collector, Chote Singh addressed to the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Tuesday.

In order to facilitate the devotees of Goddess Narmada, comes to offer prayers during Pachakoshi Parikrama organised on Katrik Poornima and every month on the Poornima.
On November 4, Kartik Poornima Narmada Panchkoshi Parikrama was organised.
On the occasion mammoth gathering of devotees came to join the Narmada Panchkoshi Parikarma but due to huge participation and shortage of boats to cross the river Narmada-Lamhetaghat, a large number of devotees could not participate in the Parikrama.

In order to develop facility for the devotees and tourists coming to Jabalpur, temporary bridges at Lamhetaghat and Saraswati Ghat would help them to complete the Narmada Parikrama without any problem as well as, it could be a tourist circuit for tourists coming to Jabalpur to see the natural beauty on the banks of river Narmada.

Members of Akhil Bharatiya Kurmi Kshtriya Mahasabha, Madhya Pradesh, added that every year the popularity and participation of devotees is increasing in the Narmada Panchkoshi Yatra and with this demand for the permanent solution to cross the river.
This would also help in Brindwan and Gowardhan Maharaj and on line of Kamatanath Giri of Chitrakoot the Panchkoshi yatra could be continued.
