AAP stages protest over gangrape incident

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged protest by binding black ribbon over the brutal gang rape incident in State capital. At Jyoti Office Chauraha protest was organised in which AAP Women Wing leaders participated and urged State Government to take stringent measures. With gruesome gang rape incidents happening the state in a row the law and order situation has come under question mark. The gang rape victims are survivors basically being tormented for life by the family, society and there is no social security scheme for them.

In such a scenario where the name of fear among the culprits have vanished measures needs to be taken to curb such incidents. The rape is a heinous crime which distorts women sexually and psychologically. But in spite of this the governing body are yet to take this issue with seriousness and the gang rape incidence are happening in nook and corner. This gang rape incident happened at Habibganj area, which is one of the busiest area.

Besides there is no fast track courts in the city to provide justice to the victims. Additional to that there is no fear among the discrepant for the punishment and there is no rigidity in laws. Many times the rape victims gets fed up of the court proceedings and comprises with the fate. This is the main reason that the rape cases are on hike in the State. The law and order in the State required to bring control and safety for women should be the top priority for State administration.

The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data released for 2015 shows Madhya Pradesh reported 4391 - the highest number of rape cases in the country in that year. In 2014, the state reported 5076 rape cases, accounting for 14% of the total rape cases reported from across the country.
