The Anti-Encroachment Department of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), on Saturday conducted drive at Chhoti Line crossing and removed a number of kiosks, which were placed adjacent to main road at the crossing.
Incharge, Narendra Kushwaha informed that the squad conducted the drive to remove legal and illegal structures, which were placed adjacent to the road. He said the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation had allotted kiosks in the area. But, now it is widening the road and developing left turn hence shifting the kiosks to nearby place.

He informed that the squad, on Saturday removed tin sheds which got erected in front of the shops and got emptied out the structures.
It may be noted that the JMC is developing Chhoti line square, one of the biggest squares of the city. It is making efforts to give appropriate design to the square so that traffic could be maintained properly.

Apart from that the anti-encroachment squad also conducted drive in Red Zone area at Russell square. Kushwaha said they removed a number of temporary structures creating hurdle in traffic movement.
