Maha Metro starts construction of viaduct at Sitabuldi-Automotive Sq

Maha Metro has started the construction work of viaduct at Reach-II from Sitabuldi to Maruti Automotive Square. Mahesh Kumar Agrawal, Director (Projects), performed bhoomipujan of construction of viaduct and double-decker flyover of Reach-II at Zero Mile metro station premises. Mahadev Swami, CPM Reach-II; Arun Kumar, CPM Reach-III; Anil Kokate, General Manager (Administration); Mohammed Zazau, General Consultant, were present on this occasion.

Maha Metro will construct stations at Zero Mile, Samvidhan Square, LIC Square, Gaddigodam Square, Kadbi Chowk, Indora Square, Nari Road stations, and Automotive Square. The total length of the track is 7.3 kms. The length of the viaduct is 6.7 kms. It includes seven sections. The track has 182 double-decker piers and 262 viaducts. This will change the face of Gaddigodam railway crossing area. The double-decker metro rail flyover will pass above Nagpur-New Delhi railway crossing.

The 5.3 kms long double-decker flyover will be 20-22 meters high above the ground. Maha Metro will install 80-meter span on this road. The total cost of the work is Rs 603 crore and it will be completed by December 2019. Afcons Infrastructure Limited will undertake work on this reach.
