Over a dozen injured in road mishap

More than a dozen persons, including ten women, were injured when a speeding truck rammed into martial jeep near Behdan bridge under the jurisdiction of Sanjeevani Nagar police station on Saturday evening.
The incident took place when residents of Katangi were returning after taking holy dip into river Narmada from Bhedaghat in a bolero jeep registration number MP-54D-0180. The bolero jeep was passing through Behdan bridge when and a speeding truck registration number MP-20G-4632 arriving from opposite side rammed into the jeep.


In the mishap, around 12 persons including Kamla Bai, wife of Chabbi Lal Kushwaha, Durga Bai wife of Tejvan Bagri, Vidya Bai, wife of Chetram Sripal, Osia Garg (16) daughter of Delan Garg, Heera Bai, wife of Deendayal Barman (36), Sukko Bai (70), wife of Moolchand, Rajjo Bai (50), wife of Indrdabhan Singh, Mamta Bai (36), Munni Bai (60), wife of Heeralal, Heera Lal (60), son of Bhaiyyalal, Raju Kushwaha (45), son of Dhannu Kushwaha sustained injuries.

Three of the injured were admitted in critical care unit for treatment of their grave injuries. SHO of Sanjeevani Nagar police station, Sanjay Bhalavi informed that acting on information of a road accident, a police team reached the spot and rescued the injured from damaged bolero jeep. The injured were rushed at Netaji Bose Medical College and Hospital through 108 Ambulance Service and Dial 100 vehicle with the help of locals. Sanjeevani Nagar police have registered a case.
