Spectacular sight as over one lakh devotees attend Narmada Panchkoshi Parikrama

IT WAS a spectacular sight when the city witnessed Kumbh like scene during Maa Narmada Panchkoshi Circumambulence when over one lakh devotees carrying saffron flags participated in the rally.


The rally was taken out in presence of Shri Hanuman ji, Sidhdh Peeth Balaji Sarkar Shri Hanuman Salasar Peethadheshwar Narottam ji, disciple of Shri Shri Ravishankar Prakashanand ji, nephew of martyr Chandrashekhar Azad Sujet Chandrashekhar Azad, Amit Chandrashekhar Azad, grandson of martyr Sukhdev, Anuj Sukhdev, famous saints of Badrinath Dham, Sant Paramhans Maharaj, National Vice-President Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Prabhakar Kelkar, Organising Secretary Dharm Prasad Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Jugrajdhar Dwivedi, Organising Secretary Vidhya Bharti Dr Pavan Tiwari, actress Gauri Bankhedekar of Mumbai, State Head Dharmjagaran Surendramani Tripathi, State Organising Secretary Bharat Patel, State Organising Secretary Vidyarthi Parishad Vijay Athwal, State President Kisan Sangh Rambharose Basotiya, all popular saints and members of Pundit Sabha of city and others.

Mahaarti of holy Narmada and Shri Hanuman ji was performed with 1.25 lakh candles under leadership of Pundit Vijendra Sharma, Pt Harishankar Maharaj of Mathura Vishramghat, Pt Ravishankar Maharaj, PT Satya Prakash Maharaj, Pt Chandrabhan Guru along with Sharda Sharma before start of rally.


Devotees carrying more than 2,100 flags with ‘Narmade Har’ written on it participated in the rally with enthusiasm. Descendants of martyrs and religious leaders called upon administration to declare holy Narmada a national heritage. Dr Pavan Sthapak, Dr Jitendra Jamdar, Dr Akhilesh Gumasta, Pratibha Singh, Nilesh Awasthi, Sanjay Yadav, Udaybhan Singh, Bharat Singh Yadav, Shiv Patel and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.


From New Bhedaghat to Saraswatighat, symbolic rock houses were constructed by devotees to fulfill their desires, those devotees got Bhandara conducted after achieving their goal by washing participants’ feet. Besides new devotees again got such rock houses constructed to fulfill their desires. Gomati Chaktra worshipped at Badrinath were distributed amongst 47,716 devotees till evening as prasad. The rally passed through Panchawati, Dhuandhar, Pashupatinath temple, Tilbhandeshwar temple, Lamhetaghat where the holy river was crossed by boats to Shanti Kund, Emaliya village, Dudwara New Bhedaghat Sidhdhan Mata temple, then again corssing holy river by boat at Saraswati Ghat to culminate at Hare Krishna Ashram Bhedaghat.


Founder of Maa Narmada Mahaarti, Dr Sudher Agrawal, Dr Shivshankar Patel, Pundit Manmohan Dubey, Yogendra Dubey, Suresh Vishwakarma, Manoj Gulabwani, Shyam Manohar Patel, Nirmal Kurmi, Satyaprakash, Roshan, Ramnivas Gautam, Durga Agrawal, Pappu Choubey, Durga Patel, Manesh Patel, Sheersh Agrawal, Ajay Pandey, Karan, Chandrashekhar Patel, Keshav Pratap, Anurag Jain, Vinay Upadhyay, Guddu and others were also present on the occasion. Grand bhandaras were organised at Hare Krishna Ashram, Vainganga bridge by Guddu Maguajr, Panchwati by Ramprasad Tiwari, Vidyasagar Dubey, Dilip Rai, Chousath Yogini by Sunel Jain, Nagar Panchayat office by Vishweshwar Patel, Shagun Resort by Verendra Patel, Dhuandhar by Narendra Agrawal, Virat Hospital by Gyaneshwari Deedi, Kalyanika Tapovan by Sanwaldas Khatri, Lamhetaghat Square by Yadav ji, Shani temple by Pachouri family, village Lamheti by Rajesh Mishra, Ravikant, Pretam Patel, Dr O P Patel, Keshari Patel, Sugreve, Tuman Patel, Assu Rajput.

Grand Kavi Sammelan was also organised from 11 am to 4 pm with participation of famous artists and poets. Twenty-five boats were available at Lamhetaghat and Saraswati Ghat so that Parikrama Vasis have the facility of crossing the holy river without any trouble. Arrangements were made by police administration. Demand to construct temporary bridge across holy river at Lamhetaghat was also raised by Dr Sudher Agrawal
