Women Congress members flay increasing crime, burn effigies

Slamming the State Government for declining law and order situation and increasing crime against women in the State, members of City Women’s Congress Committee under leadership of President Rekha Vinod Jain burnt effigies of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and administration in front of JDA on Saturfay.


They were protesting against the recent case of a student's rape at Bhopal and criticized the way the Chief Minister came in rescue of the Home Minister just by suspending TI and CSP. The police also tried to trap an innocent just for the sake of their 'duty'.


Earlier, Women Congress carried out a protest rally during which little girls were seen demanding their safety and protection from Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. They alleged that the silent response of the ruling party has boosted up the morale of goons and also poses threat for women safety. They demanded the Chief Minister and Home Minister to give resignation on moral ground. Those who were demanding CM's resignation included City Women Congress President, Rekha Vinod Jain, Indira Pathak Tiwari, Sangeeta Tripathi, Balvinder Maan, Vineeta Singh Yadav, Rajni Nigam, Manju Puranchan Mishra, Sumitra Gontia, Kavita Pathak, Manlti Rajput and others.
