The miscreants used to steal parked two-wheelers from Hamidia Hospital premises

Koh-e-Fiza have arrested half-a-dozen persons, including a vehicle-lifter, who used to steal parked two-wheelers from Hamidia Hospital premises; 23 two-wheelers worth Rs 11 lakh have been seized from the five miscreants that were sold to them by nabbed vehicle-lifter on Sunday.

Superintendent of Police (North) Hemant Chouhan said that several complaints of vehicle-lifting were reported from Hamidia Hospital for the past three months. Taking these vehicle thefts seriously, a police team was constituted and deployed in Hamidia Hospital premises and its parking lot in civil uniform. Interestingly, the police personnel had also parked their two-wheelers in the parking lot of hospital to catch the vehicle-lifter.

However, for some days, this tactic of cops didn’t yield any result, but a couple of days ago, the accused fell in their trap when he was trying to steal a parked bike from parking of hospital using master key.
Before this, the accused brought down the bike and when no one objected, he was about to flee with the bike, but was caught red-handed by the police personnel present there in civil uniform. The accused was then taken to Koh-e-Fiza police station for further quizzing.

During further interrogation, the accused identified as Davendra Kumar alias Mithun, 22, son of Mohanlal Joshi, a resident of Icchawar in Sehore district, confessed to stealing as many as 23 two-wheelers, including 22 bikes and 1 scooter. He sold these vehicles to Mor Singh Kushwaha in Nasrullaganj at throw-away prices.

It was the task of Mor Singh to look out for buyers in rural areas. Later, Mor Singh Kushwaha and four other buyers-Kanchan Kushwaha, Ram Vilash Keer alias Mota, Totaram and Shyamlal Kushwaha were also arrested by police and 23 two-wheelers worth Rs 11 lakh were seized from their possession.
