GRP still clueless: Although the Government Railway Police (GRP) Bhopal had booked four persons on charges of gangrape after a 12-year-old girl was detected with four months pregnancy, but the cops probing in this case are still groping in dark and clueless about the whereabouts of culprits. SHO of GRP (Bhopal) Hemant Shrivastava said, “Out of the four accused, one has been identified as Salman alias Kidny, who is the key accused in the gangrape incident. He had firstly raped the Jabalpur-based minor girl around six months ago. Since then, the accused had outraged the modesty of girl on several occasions in a dilapidated building located near the 6 no platform of railway station. He used to lure the girl by offering her chocolate and money.”

“Later, the accused Salman, who is a habitual offender, started to bring three other persons along with him, who too raped the girl. After being raped several times, the victim fell pregnant. The day when the girl was spotted by Railway Child Line, she was gangraped by three around four days ago. The victim girl knew key accused Salman, but didn’t know anything about the other three accused and identities of remaining three accused are yet to be established,” said SHO Hemant.

The Railway Child Line then informed the matter to one stop crisis centre (OSCC) ‘Gauravi’ and in her medical examination, she was found four months pregnant. The victim is presently admitted at Sultania hospital.
The GRP Bhopal police had quizzed several suspects and drug addicts living in slums near Bhopal Railway Station, but the culprits are far away from the clutches of police till the filing of report. The help of footages of CCTV cameras installed at railway station are being taken to establish identity of accused, but there is no breakthrough in the case.
