The investigation team probing the gangrape incident with a 19-year-old BSc girl student, on Wednesday took the accused Ramesh alias Raju Mehra (35) to various spots to collect evidence related with the case. The team had also seized the clothes worn by the accused on the day of incident. The team also visited the crime scene to collect samples from the spot.

Bhopal GRP SHO Hemant Shrivastava said that we have taken all the four accused on police remand to make verification of their addresses. Out of the four accused, address verification of three accused- Amar alias Gultu (25), Rajesh alias Chetram (50) and Golu alias Bihari (25) has been done, excluding Ramesh and the problem is that he even doesn’t have any identity card.

“We have been trying to collect physical evidence as well as the identity proofs, including the details of their permanent addresses,” added SHO Shrivastava. However, he refused to disclose the details of evidences which have been collected so far.

He said that, by now, no identity proof or card has been recovered, which can establish their real identities. Police have taken the remand of the accused till November 9 and likely to conduct the identification parade of the accused as well. The DNA samples of all the accused have also been taken.
The identification parade will be conducted once we take them to judicial custody, said Shrivastava.

The accused Ramesh was taken to under-construction site at Salaiya in Kolar where police also quizzed the persons he had worked with them to ensure his identity.
By the evening, police managed to establish the addresses of three accused, while only the address of Rajesh was yet to be traced. As they are in police remand of GRP Bhopal, they were also quizzed by IG (Rail) D P Gupta and SP (Rail) Ruchi Vardhan.
