DHE directs NSS units for yoga camp in Government colleges

Department of Higher Education (DHE) asked all government colleges to mandatorily hold Yoga Training camp in their campuses. A letter regarding issue has been sent to the National Social Service (NSS) unit of all government colleges.
The decision of holding yoga camp in colleges has been taken by authorities on recommendation of state National Social Service (NSS) team. Students and staff are invited to attend the yoga camp for free of cost in the college campus. Even students from private or nearby colleges are allowed to attend the camp being organized in nearby government college campus.

The department has also fixed district wise date for Yoga Training camp in colleges. Training camp has been scheduled from December end to MARCH 2018 last week. Students, teaching and non teaching staff of colleges would be allowed to participate the camp and minimum number of people participating hr camp should be 25. If any students or staff from nearby colleges wants to attend the camp, he would be allowed. The department said college principal wish to continue the Yoga Training camp after completing the same would not be paid. They are suggested to contact the Public Participating Committee for the same. DHE has allowed government colleges to provide at least two sets of three books related to the Yoga science and 20 sets of ‘Kriya’ in college library. Colleges are also asked to submit the detailed report of camp by March end. DHE has also directed colleges for not charging any kind of fee from students for the yoga camp. Students and staff are invited to attend the camp for free of cost. A progress report of each participant is also suggested to be prepared.
