Medical experts feted for selfless service at Veterinary University

medical experts who extended voluntary services and treatment advances for treatment of animals were felicitated in special ceremony at Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur, on Thursday. Chief guest was Dr R S Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Ayurvigyan University, Jabalpur. Vice-Chancellor of Veterinary University Professor Prayag Dutt Juyal presided over the programme.


Chief guest Dr R S Sharma while addressing the programme said that the association between Medical and Veterinary Science should be strengthened. In this association new research should be initiated to meet future demands. There should be one super specialty of Veterinary Science so that better treatment of animals could be ensured. He emphasised on need to develop joint research project. Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary University Vice-Chancellor Programme President Professor Prayag Dutt Juyal said that ultimate motive of medical and veterinary streams is to save life. Veterinarians work for animals which is a tedious and risky task. He further highlighted issues related to veterinary sciences and said besides treatment veterinary experts have to maintain production. He said for prevention of environment protection of animals is must to give a healthy atmosphere to humans. Dean of Veterinary College Dr RPS Baghel said that in the field of Veterinary Science role of medical sciences and its advances technology assistance is useful in treating animals.


On the occasion, eminent medical specialists present were Dr Alok Agrawal, Dr Pawan Agrawal, Dr Narendra Khare, Dr C H Liao, Dr Nitin Adgaokar, Dr Brijesh Choudhary, Dr Vishal Kalia and Dr Sachin Upadhyay were honoured with shawl, shriphal and mementos. Programme coordinator Dr V P Chanpuria, Director Clinics, welcoming guests and medical specialists felicitated on the occasion and said that with help of medical specialists various advance technology like Endoscopy, Leposcopy, Cataract Surgery in animals and Lens transplant, Plastic Surgery, Skin grafting, Orthopaedic Implant, ultra sound droppler, sonography, dentistry etc are being applied in treatment of animals.


Dr Shobha Jaware compered the programme while Dr Apra Shahi proposed a vote of thanks. In the programme, Dr SNS Parmar, Dr B C Sarkhel, Dr O P Shrivastava, Dr N K Jain, Dr R K Sharma, Dr S K Joshi, Dr Madhu Swami, Dr Varsha Sharma, Dr Randhir Singh, Dr Somail Rai along with professors, scientists and researchers, students of University were present.
