Happiness According to Me

My happiness is acquired through countless stimuli. The stimuli could be material or emotional. One cannot give a general definition for happiness, as each person has his or her own perception of what happiness is. My happiness lies in the eye of the beholder, and as the beholder, I see happiness.

I experienced so much happiness while attending an event at ‘Gita Mandir’ I got everyone’s blessings. The second of my finding my own happiness is that I found that my family is a huge element in my happiness. This I discovered while completing my 'Happy Moments Journal'. Over half of the entries in my journal involved some interaction or thought of my family. A couple of examples include having Sunday lunch with my family. Everyone basically, is busy every day. No one has much time for everyday' interaction. But on Sunday, we all sit together, eat lunch together and then spent the rest of the day talking and just enjoying each other’s company.

Also, going out with my sister and cousins on the weekends always brings happiness into my life. It's a time when I can get out of the house and not worry about anything but having a good time.

It is extremely true that my family plays an intrinsic role in my happiness, and I feel truly blessed to have such a big and supporting family. I know that had I had not been raised in this family, I would not be the person I am today. I will make my family feel proud of me. I will show everyone what I am today or what I will be tomorrow. My parents and teachers’ happiness through me is the biggest happiness for me.
