Farmers’ children can establish agriculture based industries: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government has started Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana for the farmers in order to provide them reasonable price of their agriculture produces. He called upon the farmers to conduct agriculture activities with priority and do not leave this occupation.


He mentioned that farming area is becoming small owing to the division of agriculture land. Therefore, a unique scheme is being introduced by the state government for the children of the farmers. A big sum in the form of loan will be provided to their children to set up agriculture based industries under the scheme. Bank guarantee against loan will be given by the state government.
He was addressing the huge convention of Farmers and Bhavantar Rashi Bhugtan Programme at Bahadurpur and Sahrai of Ashoknagar on Friday.


He distributed sanction letters, worth over Rs. 34 crore of Bhavantar amount, to 13, 281 farmers during the programme. He also dedicated 2 construction works costing Rs. 13 .72 crore to the people on this occasion. He also laid foundation of 17 construction works worth over Rs. 146 crore and distributed benefit of about Rs. 32 crore of beneficiaries oriented schemes among 7534 beneficiaries.


He mentioned that financial assistance is being provided from the State Illness Assistance Fund to the poor for treatment of serious diseases. He assured that electricity bill will be sent to the poor for fixed amount in place of meter based bills. Rules will be amended in this connection. Moreover, he said that Khasra and B-1 copy will be delivered to the homes of the farmers. He informed the farmers and villagers that procedure to give tahsil status to Bahadarpur is underway.


He also conducted a road show in Bahadurpur. He met the common men and got himself acquainted with their problems during the road show.


He added that free electricity connections will be provided to all the poor of the state under the Soubhagya Yojana. Amendments will be made in the electricity bills too. He further mentioned that after passing the bill, action is being taken by the state government by enacting a law to award death penalty to the culprits involved in the rape with the innocent girls.
