AG (Audit)-II donates Rs 45,000 to Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram

AS a step towards social responsibility initiative, the staff members of the office of Accountant General(Audit)-II,Maharashtra, has donated an amount of Rs 45,000 to Vidarbha Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, an organisation serving the Tribal people by providing the basic, technical and professional education to tribal children in their residential schooling programme.

The organisation conducts regular health camps, teaches agriculture related techniques, provides sewing machines to families with a mission to earn livelihood and be self dependent. Rajdeep Singh, Accountant General (Audit) handed over the donation amount of Rs 45,000 to Sunil Kitkaru, President and Vinayakrao Surtane, Organising Secretary of “Vidarbha Vanvasi KalyanAshram”,ina programme arranged by the Recreation Club of the Office of Accountant General(Audit)-II,Maharashtra.

An eye camp was also organized by welfare section of AG (Audit)-II, Maharashtra, Nagpur in the office premises, for the benefit of the employees of the office. A team of doctors headed by Dr Pallavi from Contra Eye Care Hospital, Nagpur and her assistants Sarika, Sonam and Sachin checked the eyes of employees. 133 employees got benefited from the camp. Astha Luthra, Senior Deputy Accountant General (DAG) GKPardikar, Sr DAGSN Wasnik, DAGSG Sable, Welfare officer, S B Kulkarni, President, Rahul Fadnavis,Secretary of Recreation Club were prominently present on the occasion.
