Commr for 100 pc verification of PM’s Awaas Yojana houses

“Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana is an ambitious scheme. Cent percent verification of the houses constructed under this scheme should be done and this work should be speed up. Toilets should be constructed essentially in these houses.” These instructions were issued by Divisional Commissioner Ashutosh Awasthi in the meeting of officers held at Damoh district Collectorate.
He further instructed that beneficiaries of Indira Awaas Yojana should not be deprived of installments and all problems should be timely resolved. This meeting was attended by Collector Dr Shreeniwas Sharma.


Commissioner Awasthi said that campaign should be launched and cent percent village should be ODF. Officers should go to villages and morning follow up should be done. Officers should work willingly and participation of Women SHG and anganwadi workers should be sought. CEO, district panchayat should adopt one village and other officers should cooperate in it. Divisional Commissioner Awasthi further said that construction of roads in remote area should be speed up and places where construction work is going on, boards should be displayed and transparency should be maintained so that general public can have complete information. Commissioner Awasthi during review of development and construction works took stock of the progress of construction of pond, SHG works and other fields and congratulated Collector Dr Sharma for good ranking.


Taking stock of the malnutrition, he said that malnutrition among children would end with devotion and not with money. He asked officers to ensure that children in aganwadi centers should get proper and nutritious food and its monitoring should be done continuously. Home visit should be done in case any child has very less weight. CMHO should cross check and Supervisor should visit anganwadi centers.


He asked for honouring ASHA workers with best performance so that other should be motivated. He asked for popularizing welfare schemes for construction workers as many times workers are unable to seek benefit of schemes due to ignorance.
He directed for monitoring of MDM specially in remote areas and officers should ensure that food is cooked in kitchen shade.
This meeting was also attended by DFO HS Mishra, CEOm district panchayat HS Meena, SDM and other officers.
