Special ward in BRAMH for Supebeda kidney patients

State Government will establish a 5-bed special ward in Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital (BRAMH) in the state capital for better treatment of the kidney disease patients of Supebeda village that falls at Deobhog block. Dialysis machine will be also installed in the Community Health Centre (CHC) at the said block headquarters. The cover of ‘Sanjeevani Kosh’ will be also extended to patients. Doctor from BRAMH will also hold a one-day camp at Deobhog hospital for health check-up and treatment of patients.

After undergoing treatment in BRAMH, the patients will be able to get the dialysis service at the block. Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has directed the state health department to complete all the necessary arrangements in this regard at the earliest. State Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar has directed the department officials to ensure prompt compliance. Dr Punit Gupta, Nephrologist and HoD, BRAMH, with a team, has visited the village and he imparted necessary information to the villagers and urged them to cooperate in sending the needy patients to BRAMH. The government will give vehicle facility in this regard.

Dr Gupta also gave dietary advices that kidney patients should not take non-vegetarian diet and also should not have any addiction and also should not take sour and fried foods. Food will be provided free of charges at BRAMH for one attendant of each patient. State Nodal Officer, Non Communicable Diseases, Dr Virendra Sahu, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Gariaband district, Dr A K Ratre, Dr Manish Prasad, Dr Shailendra Agrawal, Dr Manisha and doctors from CHC, Deobhog were present with Dr Gupta.
