The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) is a global organisation fostering entrepreneurship worldwide with TiE Nagpur as prominent chapter in Central India. TiE Nagpur’s newest initiative ‘TiE Morning’ is an informal and interactive huddle session with distinguish personalities, special achievers and visionaries, who are looking forward to contribute in central India’s entrepreneurial and startup ecosystem.

The very first ‘TiE Morning Session’ is organised on December 23 at 8:30 am with Ghanshyam Ahuja who is a serial entrepreneur, an angel investor and Managing Partner of Thinkuvate Pte Ltd., an early stage-cum-seed fund for startups based in Singapore.

Entrepreneurs require a lot of skills and an innate ‘Will’ to succeed in all their endeavours. However, other than managing a company, an entrepreneur needs abundance of passion, zeal and drive and self motivation to make it a successful organization. Ahuja is a living example of this. He is the ‘Go-To’ person for building young and new edge enterprises with keen interest in social, mobile, analytics and cloud (SMAC) based disruptive technologies.

Ahuja has built competencies like business intelligence, data analytics, BPO and shared services and industry practices like life sciences, healthcare and insurance in Asia Pacific. He is managing 3 operating companies with one in IT services another social media analytics SAS product and is also founder and Managing Partner of an early stage fund with 6 companies in portfolio. Thinkuvate was founded by Ghanshyam Ahuja, Harish Taori and few other friends who are Singapore residents more than 15 years and originally from Nagpur.

Thinkuvate is an early stage startup investment fund incorporated in Singapore, with interests and investors in Singapore, India, South Africa and Australia and UK. Thinkuvate has invested in 6 companies Mirchi & Mime, DropSuite, FindMeAShoe (FMAS), Clonect Solutions, Wootag, Rentickle and the typical investment ticket size ranges from US$50K to US$ 250K Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore and has had a good exit of 23 per cent returns even before full operations of the company and later another portfolio company ‘Dropsuite’ is listed on Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
