Pak sniper gunned down by Army in retaliatory attack

JAMMU,

A PAKISTANI sniper was shot dead on Sunday by the Indian Army across the Line of Control in Jhangar area of Nowshera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, in a retaliatory attack to the cross border firing that claimed the lives of four soldiers.


“A Pak sniper was reportedly shot by our troops on Sunday morning in Jhangar area,” official sources here said.
They said the Pakistan personnel was killed around 11 am.
An Army Major and three soldiers were martyred in Pakistan’s unprovoked firing on Saturday in Bhimber Gali area of Rajouri.
Meanwhile, Indian and Pak troops also traded heavy fire on the LoC in Poonch district. The Pakistan Army used mortars, automatics and small arms to target Indian positions on the LoC in Shahpur area.
