House at Sheetalpuri Colony broken in

AN UNATTENDED house at Sheetalpuri Colony under Ukhri police chowki of Kotwali police station was broken in. The incient came to light when owner Kamal Jay Singhani who returned from Indore found his home burgled by unidentified miscreants. Miscreants managed to decamp with household valuables worth around Rs 3 lakh. According to information, a locked house was targeted by unidentified miscreants as family members were out of station. The victim who came back from Indore on Wednesday night was shocked to find his house burgled.


In his complaint with the police, he stated that his wife along with parents had gone to Delhi for treatment of his ailing son. Besides he was compelled to leave for Indore on December 24 for business work. Before leaving for Indore he sought assistance from Madhur Peswani his maternal brother to sleep at home as caretaker for intervening night of December 25-26. Next morning when the caretaker left the home of appellant and by the time the appellant came back home he found the lock on the main door broken and goods kept inside the house scattered. Besides the almirah kept in living room was also found broken.


Shocked appellant immediately informed police who reached the spot and carried out investigations by pressing into service fingerprint experts and sniffer dog squad. Investigations carried out by police team proved in vain as no traces of unidentified miscreants were obtained by police team.


A case under relevant sections of the IPC was registered against unidentified miscreants involved in the theft. About valuables stolen from the house it is informed that miscreants managed to takeaway with them a set of gold necklace, one gold chain, one set of ear ring, three fingerings, two pedants and other household valuables worth around Rs 3 lakh. Miscreants with adverse track record have been rounded up by police but has proved of less substance to get hold of miscreants behind the theft.
