JMC holds cleanliness drive at rly station premises

A grand cleanliness drive was organised under Clean India Mission at Railway Station premises by Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC). The Mayor Dr Swati Godbole, Municipal Commissioner Ved Prakash, Superintendent of Police Shashikant Shukla, Collector Maheshchandra Choudhary, Additional Municipal Commissioner Rohit Singh Kaushal, Executive Engineer Bhupendra Singh, Ajay Sharma, Chairperson JMC Sumitra Valmiki, health incharge Manpret Anand, member Mayor-in-Council (M-I-C) Kamlesh Agrawal, Naven Richariya, Ramesh Prajapati, Rekha Singh Thakur, leader opposition corporator Vinay Saxena, DRM Dr Manoj Singh, Senior Divisional Comercial Manager Anand Kumar, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Mani Bhooshan, Senior Traffic Manager Ashish Billore, Senior Divisional Engineer BK Paliwal, Senior Electrical Engineer NK Mishra, Station Director Jabalpur AP Tiwari, a number of students of engineering college also cleaned the area with the help of brooms. The participants gave message of keeping the city clean. Under the campaign, the people were appealed to download the cleanliness app of the central government and keep the city clean.


Mayor Dr Swati Godbole said that according to the guideline of the union government, many works for cleanliness are being done in the city and participation of residents of city is being ensured. In the campaign started from platform number six, Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary and DRM Manoj Singh conducted discussions with passengers and local residents and stressed on keeping the railway platform clean. The officers said that making the city number one in cleanliness is our duty. In the cleanliness ranking being conducted through out the country, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has taken many innovative steps which is getting full support of residents of city, traders, students etc. The religious leaders, brand ambassadors appointed by JMC, are also participating in the publicity of campaign and appeal to join all the sections of society in campaign has been issued.
