Mercury dips further; Mandla coldest

On Thursday, Mandla was the coldest place in State with minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius. Chambal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, Hoshangabad and Ujjain divisions also witnessed drop in temperatures. Cold wave warning has been issued at places in Jabalpur division.

As per Weather Department chances of shallow fog is likely to be present at isolated places over Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Datia, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur. With 26.2 (1) Celsius recorded on Thursday, normal temperature was one degree above. Minimum temperature was recorded was 9 degrees Celsius which was one degree below normal.

However, as per the weathermen no major variations is expected in like Bhopal,Indore divisions. Fog is likely to be witnessed in Chambal, Tikamgarh, Rewa and Satna divisions in next 48 hours. Meanwhile, temperatures among the four main cities- Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur ranged between 28.5 (+3) and 5.8 (-1) degrees Celsius. Indore recorded a minimum of 10.2 degrees Celsius and maximum at 28.5 (+3) degree Celsius.

Minimum temperature at Gwalior was recorded at 5.8(-1) degrees Celsius while maximum remained at 27.3 (5) degrees Celsius. In Jabalpur, minimum and maximum temperatures were respectively recorded at 7.5(-3) and 25.9(+1) degrees Celsius. Khajuraho was recorded at 5.5(-3) degree Celsius and maximum at 27.5 (+3)degree celcius.Pachmari was recorded at maximum 25 degree Celsius which was four degree above the temperature and minimum temperature was recorded at 4 degree which was three below the range. The light sunshine witnessed was not providing any respite as cold wind wave was persistent throughout the day .There was a tremendous decline in minimum degree temperature in many parts of the region. Cold wave conditions prevailed in many areas but other than Chambal and Gwalior divisions rest of the northern part in Madhya Pradesh is likely to have moderate fog.
