Youth nabbed for stealing cell phones and foreign currency from office

Pandri Police on Thursday nabbed a youth accused of stealing cell phones and foreign currency from an office 15 days ago.
Applicant Alok Nayak, son of Manakchand Nayak, had reported at the Pandri Police Station that some unidentified thief had stole a Motorola, Samsung, Lenovo mobile phones along with Rs 2000 cash and $48, total worth about Rs 60000 kept on his table. The thief used some sort of stick to pull out the cell phones and cash out of the window.


Police had registered a FIR under Section 380 of IPC and began investigation. During the course of investigation, Sub-Inspector DL Dadsena, on the tip off from informer, rounded up one Sanjay alias Golu Netam (28), resident of Indraprasth Colony, DD Nagar, at Lodhipara. Golu confessed the crime in interrogation. Police had also recovered the stolen items from his possession.
