CJI lays foundation stone for MP State Judicial Academy building

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice Dipak Misra laid foundation stone for Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy near village Gadheri on Saturday. On the occasion, he called upon senior advocates and former judges to come forward in administering training to judicial officers. Going down the memory lane, Justice Misra said he came to the city after transfer from Odisha High Court in March 1997. Justice Misra said he met Incharge, Judicial Training Institution in April and apprised him that the Institution was being run in a single room. Later, he discussed extension of the Institute with former Chief Justice. This way the instituition got new building. CJI Misra further said place of training and residence of judicial officers should be away from populated areas so that they could execute important matters like training, research and judgements properly and peacefully.

Discussing about the Academy, Chief Justice of India Justice Misra said it is situated just five kilometers away from the Airport hence becomes easy for senior judicial officers to reach there and administer training. He termed the area for Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy an ideal one. The CJI reached inauguration venue near at 1 pm. Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Justice Hemant Gupta welcomed the CJI. He was also gave honour with recitation of national anthem. Later, CJI Justice Misra laid foundation stone for new building of Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy.

On the occasion, Justice R S Jha welcomed Chief Justice of Patna High Court Justice Rajendra Menon. Registrar General Fahim Anwar welcomed Chief Justice of MPHC Hemant Gupta and Judicial RegistrarA K Shrivastava accorded welcome to Incharge of Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy, Justice Jha. Those present on the occasion were Justice S K Seth, Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla, Justice Vedprakash, Justice C V Sirpurkar, Justice Vivek Agrawal, Justice Vivek Rusia, Justice Sanjay Yadav, Advocate General, Purushaindra Kaurav, Additional Advocate General, R K Verma and Samdarshi Tiwari, Director Incharge of Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy, Sanjeev Kalgaonkar, Juidicial officers and advocates.
