Masked men target mobile shop, flee with valuables

AN UNIDENTIFIED person broke into a mobile showroom and took away Rs 17,000 and mobile handsets worth lakhs under jurisdiction of Madan Mahal police station in intervening night of Friday and Saturday. According to Madan Mahal police, a man named Suresh Kumar Jain (74), a resident of Sanjeevani Nagar filed a complaint that he is owner of a mobile showroom named Micro Computer.

On December 1 night, he closed the shop and returned home. On Friday morning, his worker named Mukesh reached the shop and informed him on phone about the theft incident. Receiving the information, he immediately reached the showroom and witnessed that an unidentified person had damaged the shutter and entered the shop. He entered the shop and found empty boxes of mobile handsets were lying in the shop while Rs 17,000 cash was also missing from the drawer of cash counter.

Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot, while Additional SP (City), Guru Prasad Parashar, SHO of Madan Mahal police station, Sunil Nema reached the burgled shop and called finger print expert and sniffer dog on the spot for further investigation into the case.

Police scanned the recording of close circuit television camera installed at shop and found that 5 to 6 masked men had opened the shutter through a jack and entered the shop. Miscreants took away costly mobile handsets worth lakhs and cash of Rs 17,000 from the shop. Acting on the complaint, Madan Mahal police have registered a case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the accused.
