Officials from BMC, BSP discuss over ‘Swachhta Survekshan-18’

With the intention to secure top ranking for Bhilai in the
forthcoming ‘Swachhta Survekshan 2018’, the officials from Bhilai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) on Friday discussed about necessary steps for improving sanitation in the city and other aspect of “Swachhta Survekshan 2018”, in a specially organised meeting at Ispat Bhawan of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP).


BMC Commissioner, K L Chauhan, CEO-BSP, M Ravi along with over 100 officials from BMC and BSP have attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion BMC Commissioner,
K L Chauhan threw light on the various parameters and process of evaluation, prescribed by the government for “Swachhta Survekshan 2018”.


He apprised about the benefits and features of Swachhta Mobile App and appealed the BSP officials for downloading it and also for motivating others for the same.
In his address, CEO-BSP, M Ravi stressed on the disposal of non-biodegradable waste and said that the non-biodegradable wastes including plastic, polythene etc are adversely affecting the environment and now it became obligatory to find out way for disposal of non-biodegradable waste with scientific approach.


With the help of Power Point Presentation, the officials from BMC and BMC including ED (Works), TB Singh, ED (P&D), MK Barman, ED (MAHS), Dr KN Thakur, ED (Finance), BP Nayak, ED (Mines), AK Mathur, ED (MM), Reeta Banerjee and others have expressed their views and threw light on various steps to be taken for improving sanitary measures in the city.
