Ekatma Yatra accorded rousing welcome in Jabalpur

COMMEMORATING philosophy of Adi Guru Shankaracharya for protection of Indian culture, religion and strengthening Sanatan Dharma, the historic religious procession of Ekatma Yatra was accorded grand welcome on its arrival in the city on Saturday. Ekatma Yatra is being taken out under direction of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to aware public about messages of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. During the Yatra, metal is being collected for a grand idol of Adi Guru Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar.

Ekatma Yatra was accorded rousing welcome with ‘Paduka Pujan’ by senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders at Birsa Munda Chowk. On the occasion, BJP city president G S Thakur, State Convenor Dr Jitendra Jamdar, Mayor Dr Swati Godbole, BJP Mahila Morcha District President Ashwini Paranjpe, MLA Anchal Sonkar, MLA Ashok Rohani, MLA Sushil Tiwari, MLA Pratibha Singh, MLA Nandini Maravi, nominated MLA L B Lobo, MDA Chairman Prabhat Sahu, JDA Chairman Dr Vinod Mishra, S K Muddin, former MLA Harendrajeet Singh, senior leaders, Dheeraj Pateria, JMC Chairperson Sumitra Valmik and others.

Ekatma Yatra passed through main streets of Raddi Chowki, Damohnaka, Miloniganj Square, Kotwali, Bada Phuhara, Lordganj Square, Malviya Chowk, Teen Patti Chowk, Shastri Bridge, Adi Shankaracharya Chowk, Bandariya Tiraha, Rampur Chowk and culminated at Umaghat in Gwarighat with a grand Jan Samwad programme. Senior religious gurus addressed the gathering and informed about philosophy of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. They encouraged residents to follow messages of Adi Guru Shankaracharya who paved way to strengthen Sanatan Dharma, protection of culture and religion, to bring peace in the society and overall development of the nation. The Yatra was welcomed at several places in its route by Sandeep Jain, Rajesh Mishra, Shivram Ben, Anand Mishra, Pankaj Dubey, Ajay Tiwari, Rajnish Yadav, Jai Sachdeva, Santsingh Parihar, Vikas Parihar, Trishna Chaterjee, Yogendra Rajput, Sharad Tamrakar and others.
