JECAA demands upgradation of Jabalpur Engg College

Appealing upgradation of Jabalpur Engineering College, eminent members and leaders of Jabalpur Engineering College Alumni Association (JECAA), handed over memorandum to Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh and MLA, Ashok Rohani. Group of office-bearers of Jabalpur Engineering College handed over a memorandum to MLA and MP demanding the upgradation of college and providing it status of University. They informed that college was established a month before freedom on 1947 and it was the only engineering college between Mumbai to Banaras.

President of the JECAA, M S Gujral claimed that leaders forward name of JEC for every new Government scheme but in end it goes to some other college. College is located in centre of State and has all the technical and infrastructural parameters to become a University. Dr Manish Choubey informed about partiality with JEC in the past and extended appeal to strengthen their voice before the Central and State Government.

Hearing the demand, MLA, Ashok Rohani and MP, Rakesh Singh assured JECAA members that they will definitely stand for Jabalpur and will make every possible effort in favour of JEC and will work for its upgradation as University. JECAA president M S Gujral, president of JECAA central Dr Manish Choubey, vice-president Sapan Bose, Abhijeet Shrivastava, secretary, I S Rooprah and other members expressed their happiness with positive response of political leaders.
